Trick-or-treat?  Halloween has come!!! What's better than cooking your homemade pumpkin Burger??? Read the Halloween Pumpkin Recipe and make your burger! Tasty and also suitable for vegetarian.

Halloween Pumpkin

Time for Preparation: 20 minutes
Time to Cook: 30 minutes


600gr pumpkin

300gr chickpeas
Pumpkin Recipe
150gr Greek yoghurt
200gr halloumi
70gr breadcrumbs
45ml extra virgin oil
1 tablespoon tahini
1 heaping teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 cup flat-leaf parsley
4 buns
1 lemon

Before you start:

  1. Peel and chop your pumpkin
  2. Boiled chickpeas and then mashed them
  3. Slice halloumi in 4 pieces
  4. Chop parsley leaves
  5. You'll need the zest of a lemon and its juice
  6. Cut your tomatoes into slices

  • Preheat the oven to 220 degrees
  • Drizzle your pumpkin with oil, add thyme, turmeric and seasoning, and then put it into the oven until it becomes soft and gets the colour of caramel(approximately 25 minutes). It's time to mash it!!! Then, mix the mash with chickpeas, breadcrumbs, parsley leaves and egg. Make four patties and put them into the fridge!
  • Take the yoghurt, tahini, seasoning, lemon zest and lemon juice and mix them all together. Leave the mix until it is time to serve your burgers.
  • In a heated frying pan put two tablespoons oil and then fry your patties for roughly 7 minutes for each side.
  • When the patties are ready, it's halloumi turns. Clean the frying pan with a napkin quickly and then add halloumi for 2 minutes.
  • You are ready!!!! Now, it's your creation time.. Put the ingredients as you want, make your desirable Burger and.... Bon Appetit!!
